Welcome to the Redrose Forum

The purpose of this forum is to provide a dynamic discussion area for overseas members of the Labour Party, for other members who have an interest in European and international affairs, as well as for all who wish to promote internationalism and good global governance from a left of centre perspective. Student_Group_discussion.jpg

This forum is a new venture so please help us by commenting on articles in the newsletters, joining in discussions or starting new discussion threads.

If you need any help with using the technology, or wish to contact a committee member directly, please see our contact details page. We will be happy to help !

There are three main sections to the forum
  1. Newsletters - where we publish copies of newsletters from various groups and organisations. You are invited to comment on these and add items for inclusion in subsequent newsletters
  2. Discussion areas - these are "multi-threaded" discussions. There is one general discussion area plus the individual branch discussion areas. Everyone is encouraged to make use of the general discussion area by contributing to discussion topics, or starting a new topic. Branch members should visit their own branch discusion area for details of their local news and events and for conducting local discussions. All comments are published straight away, but you can return to edit your own comments at any time.
  3. Articles & News Releases - where one or more "editors" contribute short articles or opinions. These articles can be commented on by anyone. Just click on the "add comment" link at the bottom of the relevant article.

"The New Social Europe" report was launched at 28 March 2007 by PES President Poul Nyrup Rasmussen and Jacques Delors, founding President of Notre Europe and former President of the European Commission.
The report sets out the values, principles and policies which we, as Europe’s socialists and social democrats will pursue to meet today’s challenges - globalization, demography, technological change and enlargement - and turns them into opportunities and benefits for all of our citizens .

The Labour Party is a democratic socialist Party. It believes that by the strength of our common endeavour we achieve more than we achieve alone, so as to realise for all of us a community in which power, wealth and opportunity are in the hands of the many not the few, where the rights we enjoy reflect the duties we owe, and where we live together freely, in a spirit of solidarity, tolerance and respect.
