+ New Social Europe Video Broadcasting Service

Social Europe has introduced a new service for its users: Social Europe Video Broadcasting. Our aim is to use the audiovisual revolution on the internet, initiated by websites such as youtube.com, to open and widen social democratic debates. We would like to encourage everybody hosting VIP events of Europe-wide interest to record the sessions and send us the video for broadcasting via our new service. We have sufficient server space to host the files. Videos need to be in English. Please contact
h.meyer@social-europe.com if you plan to broadcast via Social Europe.

+ Social Europe moves to the Global Policy Institue

Social Europe journal from now on is published by the Global Policy Institute at London Metropolitan University. Its former publisher "European Research Forum" has been merged into the new institute, that will be launched on 2nd February 2007 in London. The launch event, including a speech by EU Trade Commissioner Peter Mandelson on the subject of "Europe in the age of Globalisation", will be the next programme of Social Europe Video Broadcasting.
